Acta Kinesiologica Advances to Q2 in the Web of Science Core Collection
We are proud to announce that, according to the 2025 Journal Citation Reports (Clarivate), Acta Kinesiologica has been ranked in the Q2 quartile of the Web of Science in the Sport Sciences category, with a Journal Impact Factor of 2.4 (2.3 without self-citations) and a category rank of 53/136 (61.4th percentile).
This milestone is the culmination of a remarkable three-year ascent — from Q4 in 2023, to Q3 in 2024, and now to Q2 in 2025: three years, three steps up. With this result, Acta Kinesiologica becomes the highest-ranked sport-sciences journal in the region, ahead of all neighbouring titles in both impact and quartile.
