Subject: Introduction of Ahead of Print – Online First Publication in Acta Kinesiologica

Dear colleagues,
Dear authors and reviewers,

We are pleased to inform you that Acta Kinesiologica is introducing the Ahead of Print – Online First publication system, effective immediately.

This means that all accepted manuscripts, following completion of the peer-review process, language editing, and technical preparation, will:

  • be published online prior to inclusion in a regular journal issue,

  • receive final bibliographic information (title, authors, affiliations, abstract, keywords),

  • be assigned a permanent DOI, making the article immediately citable and discoverable in relevant academic databases.

Once a regular issue of the journal is compiled, all Ahead of Print articles will be formally placed into the corresponding volume and issue, without any changes to their DOI or bibliographic identity.

We believe that this update will:

  • shorten the time between manuscript acceptance and public availability,

  • increase visibility and citation potential of published research,

  • and further enhance the quality and reputation of Acta Kinesiologica.
