Dear Readers,

we are pleased to present Volume 20, Issue 1 (2026) of Acta Kinesiologica, which brings together original research articles, a brief review, and an invited commentary covering key topics in kinesiology, rehabilitation, health, education, and sport, with a strong emphasis on applied and interdisciplinary perspectives.

This issue also marks an important moment for the journal. Acta Kinesiologica is pleased to announce the appointment of Prof. Dražen Čular, PhD, as the new Editor-in-Chief. He succeeds Prof. Johnny Padulo, PhD, to whom we express our sincere gratitude for his dedicated leadership and significant contribution to the journal’s international development and scientific reputation. We fully respect Prof. Padulo’s decision to step down and thank him for his long-standing commitment and professionalism.

Under Prof. Čular’s leadership, the journal will continue to strengthen its global visibility and scientific excellence through transparency, interdisciplinary collaboration, and ethical publishing practices, further reinforcing the connection between science, innovation, and practice in kinesiology.
